Non Nobis Diptych
Non Nobis – Diptych
Non nobis, Domine, non nobis,
sed nomini tuo da gloriam.
“Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us,
but to Your name give glory.”
The diptych translates this phrase into two autonomous works:
Domus and Via Violenta.
Domus stands for shelter, order and belonging.
Via Violenta for rupture, coercion and escalation.
The two rings are conceived as opposing forces —
between protection and violence,
between inner space and external pressure.
“Non Nobis” is not a pious gesture.
It is a shift of perspective:
away from the self,
toward responsibility.
Conceived as a pair.
Inseparable in idea and tension.
Reduced.
Focused.
A wearable statement.

Order and rupture.
Not ornament.
Not decoration — but confrontation.

Humility meets violence.

about restraint,
about the tension between inner and outer space.
