About me
I am Lars Ley, artist and ringmaker behind Artinrings.
Since 2020, wearable one-of-a-kind pieces and independent work cycles have been created in my studio in Dudelange, Luxembourg.
My work exists between craftsmanship and conceptual art — reduced in form, precise in execution, and clearly positioned in thought.
Professionally, I work in logistics and fleet management.
Previously, I was active as a nurse and later as a director of nursing.
This combination of existential proximity, responsibility, and structural thinking continues to shape my artistic perspective.
My series explore themes such as transformation, illness, time, memory, and impermanence.
I work with steel, ceramic, wood, minerals, as well as materials carrying biographical or historical significance.
Each piece is handmade — either as a completed individual artwork or as a commissioned work.
I speak German, French, English, and Luxembourgish.
